Content identification and monetization


Mediahedge enables content owners and distributors to identify and monetize online media.

The Mediahedge content recognition tool, integrated in the back end of Publishers of User Generated Content (UGC), allows content publishers to automatically identify large volumes of content at the time of upload.  Mediahedge uses fingerprint-based content recognition technology.

Before the actual ‘publication’ by the content publisher, associated business rules can be applied.

Business rules can vary from blocking content before it is published, re-directing to a selected website or linking targeted advertisements to a specific piece of content.
Identification business rules - based on the Movielabs' Content Recognition rules - allow content owners to specify when a clip should be considered “positively identified”, for instance: more than 20% of a clip, or more than a total of 30 seconds of a clip.

Mediahedge content identificaton and monetization services are offered as a hosted service. This is done in a professional colocation that has an end to end high availability design.
